Congregational Care Committee

The mission of TTPC Congregational Care is to assist our pastor with the care and nurturing of our congregation through communication, prayer, parish nurse services, bereavement services, visitation, personal communion, and transportation. Our ministry is comprised of caring, compassionate members who are guided by the following scriptures: Matthew 11:28; 25:40, Romans 12:4-6a; 15, John 13: 34b-35, Galatians 6:2, and 1 Thessalonians 5:11.

Our ministry recognizes congregational members’ birthdays with mailed cards and bulletin announcements. Our prayer team actively prays for all prayer requests as the church office is notified. Our parish nurses provide blood pressure checks following worship services twice monthly. Upon request, our team visits the sick and grieving, providing meals and assisting the pastor with home communion and memorial service receptions. Transportation services to worship services are offered for those who request a ride. During hurricane season, Disaster Preparedness Surveys are provided to the congregation to inform and assess individual needs and emergency contacts during a natural disaster. During December, Congregational Care and Ruth Circle members assemble and deliver Christmas baskets and poinsettias to our home bound members and health facility residents.
